Join us for the Forró Social at Amare! This event is free to enter. We start with a workshop, and afterward, everyone can dance freely.

Born out of the ethnicity mix in the Northeast of Brazil in the 1940’s, and popularized first in rural areas, Forró soon conquered space and became the most popular social dance in Brazil. The typical Forró band is composed of a zabumba, an accordion and a triangle. Forró is danced in pairs, in a closed embrace. Many open steps are also possible but the most important is the comfort of your partner in dance. Participating in this dance evening is free of charge. Invite your friends!
